What is a phone consult
A phone consultation is for clients who are either unable to access vet care or are wanting to discuss whether their pets current condition requires emergency medical attention. During a phone consultation we will discuss your pets medical history, current medical condition, whether or this current issue requires a visit to a vet clinic and home remedies if any are appropriate. If available we will always try to perform a video examination of your pets condition.
Who should request a phone consult
People who live rurally and can not easily access vet care
People whose regular vet has no available consultations
People who are unsure whether to take their pet to a 24 hour emergency hospital
Peoples whose vets are currently closed and are wanting immediate advice without attending a 24 hour emergency hospital (eg. general question about pet who was desexed today, vet now closed but it is not an emergency)
What can we do for you
Provide professional advice about your pets specific condition
Suggest at home remedies and over the counter solutions where possible
Assist you in accessing 24 hour care where available
Ensure animal welfare is maintained
What we can not do for you
Prescribe medications without performing an in person consultation
Terms and conditions
A phone consultation fee includes up to 30 mins of discussion. Pets who require extended consultations may incur additional fees which will be discussed at the time
Payment for phone consultations is due at the time of service via bank transfer, payID or credit card
Credit cards incur a fee of 2.2%
