Medical Consultations

Many medical conditions can be diagnosed and managed at home. In most cases physical examinations, blood, faecal and urine testing, abdominal ultrasound, wound management, sampling of ears, skin and lumps can all be done at home. If your pet requires a trip to a veterinary hospital for xrays, surgery or hospitalisation a referral recommendation will be provided.

Vaccinations are critical for preventing a number of deadly diseases and are also required to book in to kennels or catteries. Using a science based approach we provide the triennial C3 vaccine for dogs, a yearly kennel cough vaccine and yearly feline vaccines. Titre testing can also be performed. Non-core vaccinations, such as leptospirosis, are dependant on location and should be discussed prior to booking. All vaccination consultations include a full physical examination and health check.

Proheart Injection

Heartworm is a fatal parasite spread by mosquitos which has variable distribution across Australia. Monthly oral preventatives such as Simparica Trio may be appropriate in low risk areas whereas the yearly injection is strongly recommended in high risk areas. The price is dependant on the weight of the dog. Proheart injections do not include a consultation fee.

At Home Euthanasia

Euthanasia is the most difficult aspect of pet ownership. Saying goodbye to a beloved member of your family is one of the hardest things you can do. For our pets I believe that ensuring their last moments are as stress free and as comfortable as possible is one of the most important services vets can provide. Saying goodbye at home surrounded by their family in a familiar environment allows them to relax and share that last moment with you.

At home euthanasia - $400
